CCHP is uniquely organized and imbedded with a health delivery system to include Contra Costa Regional Medical Center (CCRMC) and 11 Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC).

Being part of the Health Services Department, CCHP has direct contact and partnership with the leaders from Public Health, the Homeless Program, Mental/Behavioral Health Services, Emergency Medical Services, Environmental Health and CCRMC. CCHP’s partnership with other facets of Contra Costa County is a major asset for many social services programs that enhances the lives of our members. No other Medi-Cal Managed Care plan the has the strong and vibrant connection to the resources of Contra Costa County. Being the ninth largest County-system, CCHP continues to expand resources in a powerful way to improve the health and life of low-income populations in our market area.

We are looking for someone who is:

  1. Well versed in Managed Care and the health care industry
  2. Has Strong verbal, written and analytical skills
  3. Understands how to manage a labor union workforce (HR/personnel experience)
  4. Demonstrates experience with operational units in a regulatory environment (DHCS, DMHC, CMS)
  5. Demonstrates experience in implementing new workflows and monitoring workflow success
  6. Has knowledge of Project Management, Scrum or Lean Principles, within a Clinical Operations and Leadership role

What you will typically be responsible for:
  1. Managing personnel functions for CCHP
  2. Directly supervising Administration staff, Behavior Health, Appeals & Grievances Departments
  3. Managing the Quality Assurance program
  4. Leading the Strategic Planning and implementation of new regulatory requirements
  5. Organizing the Duals & Special Needs Department
  6. Perform staff surveys to assist in enhancing morale
  7. Assisting in building the community collaboratives for the Community Advisor Committee and developing the Community Worker workforce for the entire unit
  8. Working with the external trade associations like Local Health Plans of California (LHPC) & California Association of Health Plans (CAHP)

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Possession of a Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Business Administration, Hospital or Health Care Administration, Public Health Administration or a closely related field.

Experience:Four years of full-time experience or its equivalent in an administrative capacity in a health service agency or program, at least two years of which were in a Health Maintenance Organization (HMO), Preferred Provider Organization (PPO), or Exclusive Provider Organization (EPO).

Desirable Qualifications:

  1. Master’s Degree in Business Administration or Health Services Management
  2. Volunteer work with low-income populations
  3. Training in Lean Principles or Six Sigma
  4. Experience dealing with labor unions
  5. Impeccable research skills
  6. Strong understanding of IT systems in Managed Care organizations
  7. Worked the Medi-Cal, Worker Comp, Tricare and Medicare product lines
