When members click the Follow button, they automatically follow that company, university, or high school on LinkedIn. Organizations can engage with members from their LinkedIn Page and through Page posts. Page posts appear on followers' LinkedIn feed and on your Page.

If you're connected to someone, you'll both be able to see each other's shares and updates on your LinkedIn feed. You can also send messages to your connections on LinkedIn. Following someone on LinkedIn allows you to see the person's posts and articles on your homepage without being connected to them.

The person you're trying to connect with may have disabled connection requests in their LinkedIn profile settings. Some people do this to avoid spam or limit unsolicited contacts. If that's the case, you'll have to find another way to reach out to them.

Navigate to the member's profile page. Click the More button on their introduction section. Select Connect from the dropdown.

If you have a personal profile in Creator Mode, then 'Follow' is the default setting. If you wish to connect with a person who has Creator mode switched on, you can - just click the 'More..' and then 'Connect from the dropdown menu.

No. LinkedIn suggests that you Follow the person, but if you want to connect, click the More button. You'll find an option to connect there.

When you click on the Connect button on someone's profile, you'll receive a popup button. If you click Send, the invitation will be sent without a message. Instead, click Add a note. Here you can add a note, letting the person know why you want to connect with them or how you know them.
