Do UKY buses run on weekends? ›

Campus buses also run well into the evening and are free! The campus Blue and White routes run from 6:45 a.m. until midnight Monday through Friday while the weekend Yellow Route runs on Saturdays and Sundays from noon until midnight. (These routes do have reduced hours during academic breaks.)

The University of Kentucky and Lextran have a free city transit partnership that enables UK students and staff to ride Lextran buses throughout the city free of charge, simply by showing a valid UK ID. This partnership began July 1, 2015, and was formerly called BluPass.

Bus timetables differ depending on the region in the UK; however, most buses start running at around 05:00 and stop running at around 00:00 on weekdays. Outside of urban areas, buses often stop running in the early evening. On the weekend, on the other hand, buses may run past 00:00 but might pass less frequently.

Ride a London bus no matter the time of night

Many of London's bus routes run all night. Several London bus routes run 24 hours, or look for the "N" in front of a bus number – this letter indicates a bus that covers the period between the close of the Tube and the start of daytime bus services.

Bus Routes and On Demand Ride Schedule:

6:20 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. Monday through Friday. 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. on Saturday. 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. on Sunday.

The Gainesville Regional Transit System (RTS) has routes that connect the University different parts of Gainesville. Free to all students, bus fares are free just as long as you show your Gator 1 ID card when riding. The Transloc Rider app tracks buses, lists available routes and provides RTS maps.

All campus buses are free, accessible, and equipped with bike racks.

UTS is a fare-free transit service committed to providing safe, reliable, efficient, and friendly transit service to University of Virginia students, faculty, staff and visitors.

Dublin Bus

This service complements their 24-hour services (including Routes 15, 39a, 41, C1, C2, C5, C6, G1, G2 and the N4) which are in operation seven days a week across ten routes.

Timing points help drivers regulate their service if the traffic is less than expected or they haven't picked up as many people as other journeys. Some journeys in light traffic may see buses waiting at timing points for around 5-10 minutes.
