Chapter 1: Introduction & unexpected mail[]

Hey there, my name is Alex, and I am a passionate collector of rare DVDs, Blu-rays and CDs, I just love collecting these types of media, but one day I had seen something that I shouldn't have.

On that fateful day I was on my computer on shopping websites looking for rare DVDs, Blu-rays and CDs when suddenly I heard the doorbell ring, when I went off my computer to check what was at the door there was a box, when I opened it, the box had an unmarked Blu-ray disc of Toy Story 3 without any return address or identifying features, so out of curiosity I put it into my DVD player to see if it was legit

Chapter 2: The movie & unforeseen horror[]

I played the movie, the promos were correct, the menu was functional, but when I played the movie it was mostly normal but sometimes it would glitch out, one of those moments when the movie glitched out was when Buzz saves Woody at the last minute in the train chase scene, when Jessie and Bullseye thought that Woody was dead, the movie glitched out with text that said ".-- .... . .-. . .----. ... / -.-- --- ..- .-. / -.- .. -.. / -. --- .-- / ... .... . .-. .. ..-. ..-. -.-.--" (WHERE'S YOUR KID NOW SHERIFF!) which when translated, is a line that Lotso said before leaving Woody and the Gang to die in the incinerator, here's all the other text that would display sometimes when the movie glitches out that I seen and translated:

  • ".... --- .--. . .-.. . ... ... -. . ... ..." (HOPELESSNESS)
  • "- .... . / . -. -.." (THE END)
  • "- .... . -.-- / .- .-.. .-.. / -.. .. . -.." (THEY ALL DIED)
  • "-.. --- -. .----. - / . -. -.. / ..- .--. / .-.. .. -.- . / ..- ..." (DON'T END UP LIKE US)
  • "-... ..- .-. -. .. -. --." (BURNING)
  • "-- . .-.. - .. -. --." (MELTING)

The glitching went on through the whole film.

When it gotten to the scene with the incinerator, I expected the claw to come down but instead Woody and the gang kept moving and moving, it went on for 15 seconds, there wasn't a heavenly light, no claw coming down and no rescue, I was confused about it, but then the most horrifying thing would show next that had haunted my dreams.

Woody and the Gang slowly dying a painful gruesome end in the incinerator, depicted in disturbingly graphic detail with the most disturbing screaming sounds I have ever heard in my life. The toys' hands shrank, black bubbles popped in Woody's cheeks which causes his jaw melted off of it's hinges, his eyes rolled down his cheeks only for them to burst with his hat melting over his head and his clothing quickly catching ablaze. Then suddenly Woody, Buzz and Jessie's voices became more distorted due to their voice boxes burning, most of the footage was focusing on Woody but also focuses on the others but just mainly Woody.

This happened for 3 minutes, after the toys all died and turned into a disturbingly colourful sludge it then showed a scene that was in the final film, Lotso getting strapped to the front of a truck by a garbage man, then it fades into a black screen that has text that says this

"Then after all of that Andy never found his toys... But he did have a good time in collage and even had wife and kids"

It then slowly faded in a picture of Andy playing with Woody and Buzz that was from the final film but there were burn marks that are in the place of Woody and Buzz, then more text appears and it says

"But there is one thing in his life that is and will forever be missing..."

It then fades into the credits but they were quite off, first it was playing a depressing slowed down music box version of "You've Got a Friend in Me" which I nicknamed the song "You've Had a Friend in Me", there was no bonus scenes and the credits was on fire and looked like it was melting.

After the credits ended, I was so shocked and horrified I rushed to the bathroom to puke, then I replayed the scene to confirm the nightmarish content and indeed, it was real.

I posted the Alternate Ending of that Blu-ray to Youtube and then destroyed the disk afterwards.

Chapter 3: Investigation[]

The next day I checked the Youtube video, it quickly gone viral with 361K views, the comment section was abuzz with theories and speculation. Some believe it to be an elaborate hoax, while others think it’s a lost or banned version of the film.

I reached out to Disney and Pixar about the Blu-ray DVD to find the truth about the disk, I waited about 2 hours and they finally responded with this:

"Hello there, we are sorry for the inconvenience, but that nightmarish ending of Toy Story 3 was the original ending for that film, it was created by a former employee of whose name we cannot say because of controversy, they had a penchant for creating "edgy" content and was fired for making gruesome ideas for scenes and we had to make that scene more family friendly, make sure to stick with Disney+ so that you're watching legit movies made by us over at the Walt Disney Company and Pixar."

Chapter 4: Conclusion[]

After that ordeal, I now know the reason on why that Blu-ray had a disturbing ending, with Disney and Pixar informed, I stick to watching the movies and shows on Disney+ to stay away from the darker side of media, though this didn't make me not see Toy Story the same way ever again and still like those movies as well as the Disney and Pixar movies, let's just hope this doesn't happen again...
