Posts and comments that fail to adhere to the below rules will be removed at the mods' discretion.

1. Be polite, courteous, and respectful. No hateful, trolling, red-pill, or incel post and comments.

Attacks on a person’s appearance, ethnicity, religion, etc. and general rudeness are not allowed. All posts and comments that are trolling, NSFW, hateful, misandric, misogynistic, red pill, or incel in nature will be removed and the offender may be banned.

2.Simple or app support questions should go to the Daily Thread pinned on top of the sub.

All simple dating or app support related questions should be asked in the Daily Threads pinned on top of the subreddit.

These include: "Why can't I see any matches?", "How do I use Hinge?", "What are Roses/Standouts?", "When should I ask someone out?"

Additionally, questions already answered by Hinge in their official support site/FAQ or in app will be removed.

The Hinge FAQ and Support links are posted in the sidebar.

3. Context is required when asking a dating question, seeking advice, or sharing a success post.

Advice & question/experience post must provide clear context, such as reasons for asking and info such as age, location, gender, or orientation (if applicable).

Age range or general location is acceptable.

Screenshot success posts (I got engaged/married; we are exclusive!) must include an accompanying story.

Posts which are too broad/vague will be removed.

Technical app questions MUST include info on the system (iOS/Android) and cell carrier.

All posts may be removed at a mod's discretion.

4. No rants, complaints, frequent topic, re-post, low-effort, karma farming, meme, or validation posts.

Posts should share a unique experience, or seek advice to a specific situation. No rants, complaints, non-advice seeking, prompts or prompt responses, karma farming, re-posts, memes, or validation seeking posts.

Low effort posts disguised as requesting advice (help me write my profile/opening line/what should I say to this) will be removed.

Complaints about Hinge, app features, “why do men/women do this?”, "why is Hinge hiding likes/attractive people?", or answered in FAQ will be removed.

5. No asking about a person or group's actions, behavior, or thinking, or "does anyone else" questions.

No asking about someone's actions, behavior, or thinking, or "does anyone else" & survey questions.

No posts trying to figure out a specific person or a group's actions, behavior, or thinking - such as "why are people on dating apps like this".

Any posts with questions that can be answered with "yes" or "no", "does anyone else do this/feel this way", "is X normal", "what works for you", "how long before I do X" or dick measuring contest posts such as "how many likes/matches/dates do you get" will be removed at a mod's discretion.

6. No posting someone's identifying information.

No posting someone else’s identifying information, including visible faces or names.

7. No stat graph, self promotion, survey, or advertisem*nt, or other spam posts not related to Hinge.

Advertisem*nts, self-promotions, announcements, blog posts, recruitment, surveys or any spam posts which has nothing to do with Hinge will be removed.

Stat graphs or posts about your Hinge statistics will also be removed.

8. No posts about being banned by Hinge, how to get around a ban, or deleting and recreating accounts.

No posts asking "Why am I banned?", complaining about being banned from Hinge, or asking how to get around a Hinge ban.

Also, no posts about deleting and recreating Hinge accounts, what happens if you do, or any consequences associated with that.

Any posts or comments violating this rule will be removed.

9. Profile Reviews must be from Hinge and screenshots with your full profile on display.

All profile reviews must be an image album (via Reddit or Imgur) with screenshots of your entire profile showing all photos and prompts in FULL. (Stitched image containing the entire full profile is fine.)

Video screen captures will be removed.

Images taken from the EDIT section is not the entire profile and you will be asked to re-submit your post.

If you wish to include an example of a video or audio prompt, provide a link to the examples in the comments.

FULL Hinge profile reviews only.

10. Provide useful PROFILE FEEDBACK on profile reviews.

Comments about the person and not the profile will be deleted and may result in a ban, depending on severity/nature of the comment.

Comments that are not feedback, such as "If you were in my city, I'd date you", "10/10", "How are you not getting likes?", "I'd swipe right", or "Are you in (my city)?" will be removed.

11. Please wait a FULL WEEK before posting an update to your profile review.

When posting an updated profile for review, we now require that all users wait a full week after your initial post to post an updated profile for review.

If you want more immediate feedback, update your original posts instead.

Deleting your original post will not work. The rule will still apply.

12. Private profile review requests must go in the dedicated review thread.

All private profile review requests must go in the Weekly Private Profile Review Requests thread. All standalone private profile review request posts will be removed.
